Under the leadership of Governor Eduardo B. Gadiano, the Provincial Government of Occidental Mindoro has made crucial progress in infrastructure development. In 2024, the province was honored as the Top overall Performer at the Subaybayani Awards 2024, a prestigious recognition event that acknowledges local government units for their exemplary achievements in implementing infrastructure projects and delivering effective public services. This recognition received by the provincial government demonstrates the goal to enhance the quality of life of Mindoreños through focused investments in public infrastructure.
With the concerted efforts of the Provincial Engineer’s Office (PEO), a total of 83 infrastructure projects were successfully implemented across various municipalities in 2024. These projects were designed to improve public facilities, roads, healthcare infrastructure, and other essential services. The total expenditure for these projects amounted to Php 842, 236, 210.40.
